I still have a gap in the history of the 12th Arkansas Infantry Regiment. After they are exchanged following Port Hudson, the only referce that I see to them again as a separate unit is your reference to:

"12/8/63 near Washington, Ark-HQs 20th & 12th Ark reg’ts & 12th Bn Ark vols-resignation of Capt Glascow of 12th Ark-appd Col Jones 20th Ark-endorsed/appd-HQ P & E prisoners Washington, Ark-Gen Dockery cdg"

Am I correct in assuming that the 12th never really regain it's separate idenity after Port Hudson and the survivors were just rolled in with the 20th Arkansas Infantry until they were rolled in to the 2nd Arkansas Consoldidated?

Do you know when they were officially exchenged following PH?
