Danny I bookmaked your reply and read it with great interest. Am working on an annotation of Hindman's Order Book from the PWA papers which I know are on line. However, you provided the very answer's to questions that require understanding when reading the papers. I think rather than a long annotation a reference to materials for further explanation as well as a brief synopsis of events is in order. In my estimation what is going on with Hindman prior to Prairie Grove sets the stage for later events in the war in Arkansas. Your help in such understanding will be a valuable contribution to the work.
