Absolutely, I transcribed the complete files of the Hindman papers, that and Marmaduke three years ago. I now have the time to put these books in the right context. A couple of maps thrown in wouldn't hurt to pin point locations mentioned. Am doing the same with Shelby's order book. This work will be published in book form strictly as a reference work. What is on the Web site is the completed orders, but as you know we have the various letters to and from a great many officers. Your input on the subject of what Hindman was doing in organizing Texas units is important in showing how Hindman was causing some serious political trouble for himself, which also demonstrates a firmer authority was needed in the Trans-Mississippi at the time.
