Thanks ARushing, I did not know about www.fold.com. After searching and browsing that site, I'm not sure the info I seek is referenced on that website, but I'll use that site for other research. Perhaps there is another site, library, etc. someone knows about.
(I've tried the Cornell online library which has dozens of volumes of civil war coorespondence scanned online).
