One of the men you mention with capture dates was a deserter according to his record so he was at home at the time of the Union forces moving through the area. As to the man in Monroe's cavalry, not sure why he was there unless he too was at home since I do not believe Monroe's Cav was that far east but more in the SW part in the state.
