Re: Help, need some clarification ...

A. D. Hudson originally enlisted in Capt. Larkin Bunch's Company at Jasper, Arkansas, on August 7, 1862. Captain Bunch's company was mustered into Confederate service at Elm Springs, Arkansas, on September 12, 1862, and assigned to Adams' Arkansas Regiment (sometimes referred to as the 3rd Regiment, Northwest Division). Adams' Regiment was disbanded after the Battle of Prairie Grove, and its soldiers were transferred to Shaler’s 27th Arkansas Regiment on December 17, 1862. A. D. Hudson was assigned to Co. K, 27th Arkansas Infantry. He was reported as a deserter on January 1, 1863, but was reported present on the next muster roll (April 30, 1863). He was promoted to fourth corporal, then to first corporal. He was transferred to Brooks' 34th Arkansas Regiment per Special Orders No. 219, District of Arkansas, dated November 29, 1863, but does not appear in the records of that regiment. Andrew Hutson/Hudson had already deserted more than two months prior to that date. Bunch's company was comprised primarily of Newton County men.

I can't find any record of an Arkansas Confederate pension record for Andrew Hudson or his widow. What state are your records from?
