Yankee soldier, James C. Reeves, 26th Illinois

Just discovered this today about another branch of my extended family.
My great grandfather, James Thomas Harper, later of England, Ar. who served with the 5th Tenn. had at
least two cousinswho were born in Illinois and served with the Union Army.
The one I am most interested in is James Clark Reeves, who actually looked like a Harper.
He was born in Bond County, Illnois on Oct. 9, 1836-dying on Jan. 31, 1888 in Bond County. He was
a son of John and Nancy (Harper) Reeves.
He served in the Civil War as a member of Co. C, 26th Ill. Inf. He was wounded twice in the war.
Can anyone tell me where the 26th Illinois actually served? Where would he have been wounded?
If you do not have a clue, does anyone have any idea what the other site for the Illnois soldiers was
besides the one Jim Martin runs?
Thanks a million.
Linda T. Acrey
(Yes, I would have been related to a Yankee soldier.)
