Hey Damon, let me make a correction to my post. The 11th Arkansas was among the regiments offered to and accepted by the Confederate States (July 28, 1861) but it was still organizing at the time. The information I have is that the regiment actually mustered into service on November 1, 1861, for twelve months. I believe the last company completed its organization on October 29, 1861.

Anthony Rushing should have the final word on it, though. I haven't done a lot of research on the 11th Arkansas, since Anthony had already "been there, done that.".
