I had forgotten that I actully copied a bunch of Anthonys book, Ranks of Honor a while back. According the author.... The first election of officers occured on 28 July, but it was contested and a second election was ordered by the State Military Board. The new election was conducted on August 8th, and that is the date that Anothy says were on the commissions for the regimental officers. I am going to list that date as the organization date, unless someone has a better argument.
