The Roll of Honor Volume VIII page 32 for this cemetery does not list this man as belonging to any unit. The entry in that column is blank. There may be some confusion because the last man to be listed with a unit above his name belonged to the 3rd Arkansas (U S) Cavalry. Thomas W Stobaugh is listed simply as a teamster, no unit assignment, died Nov 19, 1863. He is defintely not recorded in any Arkansas military service file, US or CS. The man listed just above him is listed as a civilian employee, also no unit assigned.

The 1860 census lists him as T W Stobaugh, age 45, born Mississippi, a resident of Liberty Springs, Van Buren County AR.
