Don Roth out of Stuttgart is planning an historical marker for Captain Alf Johnson and his Texas Spy Company. The site will be at Captain Johnson's early 1863 camp a few miles west of St Charles. It was from here the company left for its fatefull relief of the garrison at Arkansas Post.
