Jones Arkansas Battalion

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Jones' Arkansas Battalion (also referred to as the 1st Arkansas Infantry Battalion and 8th Arkansas Infantry Battalion). The unit was involved in the attempt to recapture Battery Powell at Corinth after it was briefly taken. It was also involved at Hatchie (Davis) Bridge, and later was sent to Port Hudson, LA where it remained until it was surrendered in July 1863. In any event, one of the more interesting aspects of the battalion's history is the court martial of Lt. Coll Batt. Jones for refusing to give up a quota of sharpshooters after having previously given up an entire company. In any event, while I cannot vouch for its authenticity, I've located what appears to be a photo of Lt. Col. Jones' gravesite and perhaps a photo of him next to it. I didn't take the picture, but ran across it while searching for information on the battalion. In fact, a google image search of "Lt. Col. Batt Jones" revealed it. In any event, here it is . . .

Another photo, from several feet back, indicates it is located at Buck Head Church in the Perkins Community near Millen, Georgia. If anyone can verify this is an accurate photo, it would be much appreciated.
