I will look at what I have. I am from his town and very familiar with him and his family. I also rec'd some info and I will see what I have regarding that. Can't remember where he went to school off thetop of my head but he was a doctor here in Benton. Also, the account by the man that shot him in the back....it was nothing like he played it up...hand to hand, having to subdue him, but then he was the only one that survived the encounter..but it is not correct and being a soldier, nothing in it went above and beyond the call of duty to warrant the MOH. That is one I personally feel should be rescinded. That man just shot a soldier in the back as he was fleeing. He had no way to know who he was or what rank so it is definately not worthy of the MOH. Will the Navy Seals get the MOH for killing Bin Laden? Nope so anyhow, will look to see if I can find his medical info. Bruce Allardice is the one who would know this though. THey were from Tennessee.
