I informed a long lost cousin of mine regarding a Guthrie, and she was so proud of his Union service,
that he had deserted from the 35th Arkansas CSA in Little Rock. That was the last time I ever heard from that
woman for real. Hated to pop her bubble, but truth is truth. More than a few actually did that.
