looking for info on Pvt Willoughby Smith (1842-1921), enlisted 21 June, 1862 at Washington, AR. Present 31 Dec, 1862. Most of the 24th surrendered at Fort Hindman (Arkansas Post) 11 Jan 1863. He was not listed in the POW roster. I'm assuming he was at St. Charles when Arkansas Post fell. He doesn't show up in Hardy's Infantry on any rosters that I have seen. Hardy's (19th Inf) Co D composed of the old 24th Co F. Any info appreciated.
