Mike, after years of researching this stuff, I believe the postwar roster of Etter's Battery is fairly accurate. Some of the men (or their widows) on the list later applied for Confederate pensions, citing service in Etter's Battery, a few postwar reminiscences and Goodspeed biographies match up with some of the names, and it accounts for soldiers (such as "missing" men from the 19th and 24th Arkansas Regiments) that just dropped out of sight. Sadly, unless a contemporary roster bobs up somewhere, their service cannot be definitively confirmed. But, the search goes on.
