Re: What was the last Arkansas Unit to Surrender?

Thompson's forces surrendered at Jacksonport on June 5, 1865.

A few reports indicate that the 34th Arkansas along with the 22nd Arkansas Infantry Regiment were at Marshall Texas when word came of the surrender. Rather than march to Shreveport, LA, as originally directed, the members of the regiments chose to march to Fort Smith, Arkansas and surrendered to General Bussey at that location on June 9, 1865. I have seen other descriptions of this surrender that only include Company G of the 22nd Arkansas Infantry Regiment and a company of the 34th.

Anybody know of Arkansas Units surrendering after June 9th?
