Levi Reed very young for the war seems to be born in 1848 and no Headstone App. found.
This is the jest of what is found on Pvt. Shipman Reed Co.A, 4th Regt. Ark Cavalry Union Headstone Application. He died Dec. 11, 1930. Mrs. Francis McCullough of Sims, Arkansas, Montgomery Co. applied for the Headstone Jan.31, 1931. It was shipped to Mrs. Francis McCullough at Norman, Montgomery Co., Arkansas on April 27, 1931. It also said it verified at Columbus, Miss. on April 6, 1931. The cemetery is listed as Barber at or near Sims, Arkansas.
