Re: Civil War Vets buried Montgomery Co AR no

My Great Grandfather James F. Jeffrey served in Gunter's Batallion Arkansas Cavalry from 1864 until the end of the war. He was from Montgomery County. and is buried at the Mt. Goliad cemetery near Black Springs, Arkansas, in Montgomery County.
He fought at the battles of Poison Springs, Jenkins Ferry, and Marks Mill to name a few.
He was wounded, and died in the 1920's, leaving a widow and may children, including my grandfather, Joseph Lee Jeffrey.
I would appreciate any information anyone could give me regarding Gunter's Batallion, and also it's war record.
