I've have wondered about some of those signs myself. I assumed that they had some sort of "Historical" connections but then I noticed one of the Civil War Trails road signs in the middle off downtown Sheridan on Highway 270? Neither of those place, Sheridan nor Hwy 270, were in existance in 1865 let alone before then.
