1st Sgt. M.A. Dry was in Co. I, (not Co. D) 45th Arkansas Cav. He must have tranferred at some point. Co. I enrolled at Jacksonport, Arkansas, but M.A. Dry is the only one listed as enrolling in Jackson Co. Ark. and that was when he joined the 8th Arkansas Cavalry.
