Crawford Artillery

Was the "Crawford Artillery" Capt. James Stewart's (or Stuart), Co. F, 3rd Regt State Troops? W.F.M. Sanger of Stuart's Company is on a casualty list of Oak Hills (Wilson's Creek). There is also a record for 1st Lt. F. Sanger in the 3rd AR State Troops with no company specified. The 1st Creek Battalion was increased to the 2nd Creek Regt in Jan. 1862 and was reorganized Nov. 1862. Fenton's two brothers were also in the 2nd Creek Regt, Capt & ACS Edward E. Sanger and AQM Sgt. Stephen S. Sanger, Jr.. The 1st Creek Btn and 2nd Creek Regt were commanded by Lt. Col. and then Col. Chilly McIntosh, the much older half brother of Col. D.N. McIntosh of the 1st Creek Regt..
