Evidently the responses went to my spam folder.

The papers didn't mention anything about Lafayette volunteers.
That is where he was living when he volunteered. Actually he was living in Lafayette County
when he volunteered and his widow was living in Miller county when she got her pension almost 40 years after Joel died.
I do want to thank you all for helping me.
I apologize for the thanks being so late.
I would like to know where private Joel Walker died, and as much info surrounding his death as possible.
