I took the information straight from the pension's record
so I didn't know he wasn't a General. You would have thought
they would have known.
I have learned so much about this war and am surprised at how unorderly it seemed.
The Widow's Pension was applied for almost 40 years after the fact
so I am wondering if that was information just to fill the blanks.
I may never know what happened to Joel.
Even if I didn't know where he was buried I thought that by following
the places he went I might get a better idea of where he died.
