Found a William E, age 18 upon enlistment in July 1861 at Fort Washita, Indian Territory as 4 corporal of 1st Company K, 1st Regiment Choctaw and Chickasaw Volunteers. Another single card lists a William Rosser as Quartermaster Sergeant for same Regiment and he came from Co K. I believe it is the same man. He was assigned as QM Sgt June 1863. This makes sense he would be in vicinity of northwest Arkansas during the war, but nothing on wounds or burning bridge is mentioned.
