Thanks, I figured that the "Civil War Guns" title was what I was after. Unfortunately, it's out of print so I've ordered a second hand copy for a reasonable price.

The other book, "American Military Equpage 1851 - 1872 Vol. II State Forces" appears to be more difficult to come by. I'll have to check it on intra-library loan first.
