I'm assuming with that serial number you have a CARBINE and not a long rifle. The carbine was only 39" in length and some 43,000 of them were made. The last one I saw -- carbine, that is -- sold in the paper here in Alabama for $3,500. I have a longer rifle, serial number 1453. Nice piece in good condition. Would shoot it IF I had the ammunition. But, alas, original rounds are $20 each and no one makes good reproductions for shooting.
