The date is March 6, 1860. That is the patent date and not the date it was made. Based upon the serial number you probably have a carbine (22" barrel) vs. a rifle (30" barrel). Value depends upon originality, condition, etc. Most in decent, average condition are in the $1500-$2000 range.
