I wish I could afford an original Spencer! The original ammo is expensive enough. I have a box of original Spencer ammo in my collection, manufactured in 1864. I am told this ammo is worth over $1,000.
A bit of trivia. Christopher Spencer collaborated with Steven V. Benet, father of the noted poet of the same name, in developing cartridges for the weapon.
