Hello Hayes,
I know someone that has the 1860 Lt Cav Sabre that was carrried by their ancester in the Prattville Dragoons, Co. "H", 3rd Ala. Cav., Hagan's Bde, Wheeler's Cav Corps, Armry of Tennessee, CSA. It is marked "Henry Boker, Solingen". I was told by a researcher that the Prattville Dragoons was armed (sabres and Colt Navy .36 pistols) from arms seized at Mt. Vernon Arsenal.

Do you have any info on sabres captured there? We are trying to find out about any sabres taken from Mt. Vernon. We are wondering if this Henry Boker 1860 Lt Cav Sabre was among those taken from the arsenal and thereby among the Prattville Dragoons' original issue or say he might have lost his issued sabre and the Boker is a later pick up, capture, etc..
Thanks,
David Edelen
