Re: Question re Civil War rifles
In Response To: Question re Civil War rifles ()

Hello to All,

Due to my Father's recent passing, I have inherited a number of older firearms, and I have a good grasp on most of them. I have, however found it increasingly difficult to obtain any information on one rifle in particular. I believe it is a first-series Tyler Texas rifle, (Octagon barrel, firearm is approx. 48" in length, curved brass buttplate and trigger guard, and it actually has the word "TYLER" stamped on the barrel). I have done quite a bit of research on this weapon, and have only found one page with very little information. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks very much,

Mick
