while not an authority on said weapon, the Charleville was a French made weapon. Now, does it appear to have been altered from flintlock to percussion? Another thing to check to see if it is a modern made import as they are re producing the Charleville. Without seeing the weapon, it is hard to evaluate. Perhaps if you described the markings on the weapon, a proper evaluation can be made.
