Colt made an 1851 Model "Navy" for The U.S. Marshall Service. It had an octoganal barrel like the Navy but sported a 4-3/4" barrel and was in .44 caliber. The cylinder was fluted as well and the frame was engraved with ornate scrollwork. The finished was polished steel not blued, with brass trigger guard and backstrap. I have a reproduction of this gun. I question the fluted cylinder but I guess this could be accurate. Can't find much about it from Colt websites. Anybody have any input on this revolver reproduction's accuracy?
