Colt 1849 Pocket Pistol

In the Museum of the Confederacy is an 1849 Colt pocket pistol that belonged to W.W. Trent, 42nd Va. The butt of the pistol is etched with the name of Lt. A. Kelly, Co. H, 33 Pa. Volunteers. The 33 Pa. was more commonly known as the 4th Pa. Reserves. I suspect that Trent captured or picked the Colt up on the battlefield of Gaines Mill in June 1862. The mystery is that I cannot find any record to further identify Lt. Kelly. So two questions. What information can anyone give me on the 1849 Colt? Does anyone know where I might find a copy of Vanscoten, M. H. The Conception, Organization and Campaigns of Company H, 4th Pennsylvania Reserve Volunteer Corps, 33rd Regiment in Line, 1861-1865. Tunkhannock, PA: Baldwin & Chapman, 1885?
