I am a small collector and I recently purchased two cannon balls. One is a 4 pounder 3.100 in dia. It has a sticker on it marked Cold Harboor 393c. The other is an 8 pounder 3.940 in dia. it also has a sticker on it marked
culps Hill Gettysburg 1864. Both stickers are very old with petina and written in brown ink with a quill pen. The family I bought them from said they belonged to their father whom had died at over 90 and they had been in the family as long as they could remember. This was an estate auction with a few other civil war items. They are both cast iron and show a little minor pitting. Any information would be very helpful. Thank you
