Gregg when I wrote my last message and talked about the blue regimental flag, I didn't mean to imply that the regimental was with Custer in the fight; in fact it had been furled and packed with the ammunition pack train which was further back coming up under guard of one company; this was the pack train that Custer sent the famous pencilled message to by an italian trooper (Martini) to Benteen: "Benteen Come on, big village,
