This flag does indeed exist.
Stolen from Confederate Memorial Hall in the 1950-60's.
It is now in the possession of Dr. Lonnie Kiem of Omaha.
A photograph of it was published in the Time-Life series
(with silver covers) in the volume entitled "Struggle for
Tennessee".
It also appears in Confederate volume of "Echoes of Glory"
on page 262.
Whether or not this flag is the prototype of the ANV flag is
strictly conjecture. A conclusion probably arrived upon to
enhance the value of said flag.
