It is possible - possible - that this 12 star flag of the 5th Company Washington Artillery may have been the inspiration for the 12 star wool bunting battle flags for the Mobile Depot that started in October 1863 through July 1864. These were the flags made by Jackson and Sarah Belknap and James Cameron.

The Carys made one or two more silk flags as well I believe.
