Has Eleven stars and is a First National Flag. I believe it says "Fort Thompson", then Capt, to blurry to read.
This is one of the Four Confederate flags captured at New Bern, North Carolina. March 14th, 1862, by General Burnside's men.
I am not sure to what Confederate regiment it belonged to, but I am sure someone has seen this flag before.
