Having just read,Scott,Walker's, Hell’s Broke Loose in Georgia: Survival In A Civil War Regiment. I noted the flag of the 57th Georgia Infantry was taken back after it was furled and left for collection, by the Union forces. Indeed it had survived the War and, was at the time of publication with desendants of the regiment. Could someone please clarify the type of flag and, any specific adornments, if any? Perhaps; this flag and other flags of the 57th are in public collections.
