The 35th Ohio does claim the capture of a "battle flag" at
Missionary Ridge. The same after-action report also admits
that the unit did not retain the captured flag and that someone
else brought it off the field.
Nowhere does this report state that the flag belonged to the 19th Ala.
What document have you found that makes that statement?
