To Shawn 13th USCT

Dear Shawn, not sure if this one has been added, but by accident I went to the Battle of Nashville on Wikipedia and they mentioned the battle of Overton Hill where the 13th United States Colored Troops were alone and kept charging the confederate lines and lost their national colors that to a Louisiana unit but somehow sent to Alabama. It has been mentioned on his website before in 07 and I have links pointing out the information here.

13th United States Colored Troops, went in essentially on its own and gained the Confederate parapet, losing one of its flags and 220 officers and men in the process, about 40% of the regiment’s strength.[41]
