The Regimental Colors are on the inventory list of the War Department, flags transferred to West Point. One description has the flag with a single large white star with presentation wording above the star on blue field.

The National Colors, has the unit designation and lettering “Presented by the Colored Ladies of Murfresboro” not publicly seen after its capture.

I was thinking that [41] was something other then a wikipedia reference number.

Most of the USCT flags sent to West Point do not survive, and a good number of captured USCT flags have been noted to have been destroyed by the captors.
