You have completely mis-interpreted what I said. What I said was that museum people will be happy to look at your artifact and with the proper professional eye that is needed for your flag. I fail to see how my suggestion was detrimental to you and your flag. What I was trying to do was help you. You seem more resistant to that for whatever reason.

I know a load of museum people across the country and none of them would turn you down for seeing your flag. Just because the idiots that run Memphis are the way they are does not mean that professional museum people who deal with artifacts are the same way. They would not have their jobs if they did not know what they were doing and if things were as bad at the Pink Palace as you seem to think then why do they have two CS flags on display there?

The Pink Palace may be able to help you or they may not. It will totally depend on if they have a well versed textiles professional on staff. If they do not, and this can be ascertained by calling their curators, then you will need to find one that does. Or you can find a reputable Civil War dealer. I know one who has dealt with flags for longer than I have researched them and would be happy to help for whatever his fee is.

Again, you have completely misconstrued what I said in my post. If you would like my help I am happy to do so. I have said nothing negative about your flag or its story as I do not know enough about it to state anything. I did state that the sewing does not alarm me but that a thread analysis is needed.
