The 32nd NC turned their Richmond Depot ANV flag into a Second National by sewing a lot of white cloth to it taken from Carlisle, PA. The Federals called it the flag with the long white tail. The flag survives in the MOC collections with bits of the white cloth still on its seams.

William and I have communicated - he is a fine fellow and I understand his concerns about Memphis.
