... Thanks... cant find all my old notes... Recent question came up on what flag the 17/23rd was carrying specifically during the course of the Bermuda Hundred Campaign very soon after their arrival... I recall something about some Hardee flags captured in Aug 1864 at Weldon Railroad, and Johnston's troops immediately came to mind as a possibility... Also knew they had received some ANV flags... was trying to put a better timeline on what was used/carried when....

Had ancestry in Hagoods Brigade.... during that time they were frequently working along side each other at many events.... Johnston's boys apparently were some nasty fighters... Found accounts of some of their boys captured were retaliated upon..... blamed for some atrocities that reportedly had occurred previously at their hands....
