Ponceannah is a different ghost town farther west and not on the St. Johns River. It is close to the present day town of Umatilla, FL. I believe you confused Hawkinsville and Ponceannah because a prominent early resident of Hawkinsville had their child buried at Ponceannah cemetery. But Ponceannah was a different town not far away to the west. Ponceannah cemetery is on the north side of County Road 450 just west of Umatilla, FL.
