By chance, do any of your ancestor's letters pertain to the Gettysburg battle (July 1863) ? I am seeking such material for my next book - "Georgia At Gettysburg".

What specifically do you want to know about the 3rd GA Battn. Sharpshooters? I know they were formed about May 1863 & one report has them involved at Chancellorsville. They were at Gettysburg. The command was composed of the best marksmen from the regiments belonging to Phillips Legion.
