Thanks for your help and information. I did contact the National Archives and filled in the application with as much information as I could and I got a return letter stating that there wasn't any information on Henry Putnam Long. I also tried the Georgia Archives and got the same response. I did check out your website on the 11th Infantry Regiment and was very impressed with the information you have and also enjoyed reading about the 11th Regiment. Some one suggested that I try the Natl Archives (Old Military & Civil Records -NWCTB)that they might be of more help to me.
