Re: Floyd Legion

Neal,
His name was Jonathan Robert Cowan, also known as J.R. He served in Company E I believe. Probably a private. His brother, Reuben Addison, served with Floyd Legion as well after being discharged from Co. C of the 40th Ga infantry in 1863 with a "disability". I still don't know what the disability was. There were 4 brothers that served in various units. Those 2 in Ga and the other 2 in Tn units (154th Senior, and 5th Cav-McKenzie's Legion). I have just gotten bit by this "bug" in the past few months and am fascinated. Thanks so much for any help.
